Itineraries
Day 1
Arrive In Urumqi
Accommodation: Urumqi Obor Hotel or Equivalent (5*)
Meals: Own Arrangement
After your afternoon airport pickup, transfer to hotel and check in. The evening is yours to rest or explore the city at leisure.
Day 2
Urumqi – Five-Coloured Beach – Burqin County
Accommodation: Burqin City Story Hotel or Equivalent (4*)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Driving Distance: Approximately 480 km, 5.5 hours by car
Drive across Xinjiang’s vast Gobi landscapes with a stop at tranquil Ulungur Lake before reaching the stunning Five-Coloured Beach, where wind-carved rocks glow in red, yellow, and green—ideal for sunset photos. End the day in Burqin with dinner and an optional stroll through the lively riverside night market.
Special Note in April :
The Five-Colored Beach visit is canceled due to snow coverage making the site inaccessible.
Day 3
Burqin – Hemu Scenic Area – Jiadengyu
Accommodation:
- April: Hemu Yuyuan (wooden cabin) or other characteristic homestays
- May: Jiadengyu Hongfu Lake Kanas Resort or Equivalent (4*)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Driving Distance: Approximately 160 km, 4 hours by car (Mountain road)
Transfer to the Hemu Observation Deck for sweeping views of snow-capped peaks, lush grasslands, and glittering lakes, where wooden cottages and wildflowers complete the fairy-tale scenery. Opt for the Cloud Peak Cable Car for an even higher vantage point, soaring above the valley for unforgettable panoramas.
Day 4
Jiadengyu – Kanas (including Tuvan family visit) – Burqin
Accommodation: Burqin City Story Hotel or Equivalent (4*)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Driving Distance: Approximately 180 km, 4.5 hours by car (Mountain road)
Set out from Jiadengyu to the Kanas Scenic Area, passing silver birch forests and the winding beauty of Wolong Bay and Moon Bay. At Kanas National Forest Park, ride the shuttle bus into a wonderland of turquoise lakes, glacier-carved valleys, and soaring peaks. Opt for the Cloud Peak Cable Car to enjoy sweeping bird’s-eye views, then visit a Tuvan family in their log cabin to discover their nomadic heritage. Return to Burqin by evening to unwind.
Day 5
Burqin – Urho Devil City – Kuytun
Accommodation: Kuytun Jinhui International Hotel or Equivalent (4*)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Driving Distance: Approximately 350 km, 5 hours by car
Arrive at the surreal Urho Ghost City and board a sightseeing train through its wind-carved sandstone maze, where formations resemble castles and mythical beasts. Optional Activity: Camel ride. After lunch, continue to Kuytun, stopping at the Bai-li Oil Fields, where desert landscapes meet industrial grandeur. Check into your hotel by evening.
Day 6
Kuytun – Sayram Lake – Guozigou Bridge – Yining
Accommodation: Yining Wenzhou International Hotel or Equivalent (5*)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Driving Distance: Approximately 350 km, 5.5 hours by car
Depart Kuytun for Sayram Lake, the “Pearl of Tianshan,” where turquoise waters shimmer against snow-capped peaks. Continue across the soaring Guozigou Bridge before visiting the Lavender Museum, showcasing Yili’s floral heritage—from summer lavender fields to spring poppy meadows. Arrive in Yining by evening and stroll Liuxing Street, alive with Uyghur charm—blue doors, steaming samovars, and dutar melodies—before settling into your five-star hotel.
Special Note in April : The Lavender Museum is closed.
Day 7
Yining – Nalati Grassland – Nalati Town
Accommodation: Nalati Wansen International Hotel or Equivalent (4*)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Driving Distance: Approximately 250 km, 4 hours by car
After breakfast, journey through the Ili River Valley to Nalati Grassland, Xinjiang’s famed “Pasture in the Sky.” Endless meadows stretch beneath snow-capped peaks, dotted with wildflowers and circling eagles. Pause for a grassland tea experience, sipping Kazakh milk tea with local treats on a terrace framed by Tianshan’s jagged silhouette—perfect for photos. As the sun dips, the grassland glows in golden light, a scene once admired even by Genghis Khan’s cavalry.
Optional Activities: Horseback riding, cable car, or grassland sliding (from mid-May).

Day 8
Nalati – Yining – Kazanqi Folk Village
Accommodation: Yining Wenzhou International Hotel or Equivalent (5*)

Driving Distance: Approximately 320 km, 5 hours by car
After breakfast, journey to Yining’s Kazanqi Folk Village, where sky-blue alleys and ornate Uyghur eaves echo Silk Road heritage. Ride a hand-carved “Six-Stick Carriage” past turquoise doors adorned with pomegranate motifs, then step into a heritage courtyard for dutar melodies and sama dances performed in embroidered velvet robes. Conclude with Kazanqi’s famed lavender-honey ice cream, churned in copper pots with a delightfully stretchy texture.

Day 9
Yining – Bullet Train – Urumqi – Grand Bazaar
Accommodation: Urumqi Obor Hotel or Equivalent (5*)

Bullet Train: One-way, approx. 5 hours
After breakfast, board the train to Ürümqi, watching deserts, valleys, and mountains unfold outside your window. On arrival, enjoy lunch before exploring the lively Grand Bazaar, where spice stalls, handwoven carpets, and jade crafts fill the air with color and scent. Slip into a traditional Uyghur costume for a photoshoot beneath the bazaar’s ornate arches—an unforgettable cultural keepsake.

Day 10
Urumqi – Departure
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to the airport, carrying home not just souvenirs, but memories of Xinjiang’s golden light and even warmer hospitality.

Important Notes:
- Chinese Holidays: Rates for periods including but not limited to New Year's Day, Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), May Day, and National Day (Golden Week) require separate quotation.
- For a group of 6-7 people requiring an English-speaking guide, an additional SGD 110 per person will apply due to the vehicle upgrade (19-seat standard tourist bus).
- Nov-Mar in Northern Xinjiang brings extreme cold (-20°C to -40°C), with Kanas/Hemu often closed due to snow. Opt for Southern Xinjiang (e.g., Kashgar) or adjusted northern routes. Ask us for custom winter tours!
